‘The Dark Horse’
Can you see her appearing in the clouds?
I can see her, a black Pegasus, spreading her wings. She is flying through the dark, stormy sky. She reminds us to stay strong, to be brave, and to keep going until the storm passes.
The beauty of this painting is that it is an abstract piece, and everyone sees something different. It adds interest to a space and would make a great statement piece.
The colors in here are black and greys, copper and gold. They are timeless and elegant colors that will look great in any interior. The gold really takes center stage in this piece, it's shimmer is beautiful. The light reflects of the metallic, pictures really don't do it justice.
It is A2 size, or 42 x 59.4 cm.This beauty comes unframed, but finding a frame for this artwork shouldn’t be a problem. My artworks usually come in standard sizes. It was painted using alcohol inks on Yupo paper. Yupo paper is a special synthetic paper, developed specifically for art. It is very thick, and hard to rip. It is finished with several layers of UV protection and varnish to help prevent fading.
Alcohol inks are highly pigmented, alcohol based inks. They can be used like other media like oils, acrylics and watercolors. By layering the inks, and by using different techniques, the artist can create a feeling of depth and flow. The thing that is different about these inks is how unpredictable they are, and to what extend one can control them. Guiding the inks takes a certain level of skill, but also the ability to accept their unruliness. I think that’s why I love them so much!
All my art is send it either rigid mailers or mailing tubes, so it doesn't get folded.
