Abstract floral alcohol ink painting ‘In Full Bloom’
“In full Bloom”
It’s the end of the summer, and nature is on a high. Fruit is growing, vines are heavy under the weight. Flowers are popping up everywhere, delicate heads aimed towards the sun. Delicate golden veins are covering the petals, like liquid gold. It’s like they drunk directly from the sun! Soon, the leaves will fall, and the skies will turn grey. But for now, I’ll just hold on to summer as long as I can!
This is a large (91 x 61 cm) alcohol ink painting on Yupo paper. This beauty comes unframed, but finding a frame for this artwork shouldn’t be a problem. My artworks usually come in standard sizes. I prefer to send them unframed, to keep shipping costs down, and to give the buyer to flexibility to choose a frame that fits in their home and their budget. If you would like help with framing, feel free to send me a message.
All art comes signed and with a certificate of authenticity.
It was painted using alcohol inks on Yupo paper. Yupo paper is a special synthetic paper, developed specifically for art. It is very thick, and hard to rip. It is finished with several layers of UV protection and varnish to help prevent fading.
Alcohol inks are highly pigmented, alcohol based inks. They can be used like other media like oils, acrylics and watercolors. By layering the inks, and by using different techniques, the artist can create a feeling of depth and flow. The thing that is different about these inks is how unpredictable they are, and to what extend one can control them. Guiding the inks takes a certain level of skill, but also the ability to accept their unruliness. I think that’s why I love them so much!
All my art is send it either rigid mailers or mailing tubes, so it doesn't get folded.
