This painting is an abstract representation of the ocean. I take my memories of such a scene, deconstruct the components, and rearrange them all back on the paper. Rocks, light reflecting of the waves, green cliffs, big red rocks. My kids building a dam in a stream where the water flows back in the ocean during low tide. All the elements of a beautiful beach scene are there. In a way it is the retelling of a story.
